Raising awareness and positively influencing our community.

The Undergraduate Business Council (UBC) is a student group that advocates for, supports, and represents all undergraduate students in the KU School of Business.  Additionally, UBC is the umbrella organization for all KU Business school-funded clubs.  The UBC works closely with the administration to address concerns, propose improvements, and provide a student perspective. A specific branch of the UBC is Outreach Committee, which works with local organizations in the community. The purpose of this collaboration is to promote community engagement of business school students through hands-on learning of local non-profit businesses.

This year, Outreach Committee hopes to fundraise for Lawrence Habitat for Humanity. As we began living in the Lawrence community, we were shocked by the number of individuals and families in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing. Knowing that UBC has the resources and human power to make great impact within Lawrence, UBC chose to directly work with Lawrence Habitat to raise awareness and positively influence our community.
