True faith must be acted out.
— Millard Fuller, Habitat founder
Having understood the mission and the needs of Lawrence Habitat, many Covenant Churches participate regularly or occasionally, as fits their particular congregation.
There are many ways to get involved:
Assemble a crew to work at the build site. Church groups typically find that not only do they contribute to the construction of the house, they find joy and camaraderie in working together as well. Working side by side can help build and strengthen relationships among church members.
Work crews must sign up with the office for a work day.
Most churches know how important food is in the life of the community and are well-equipped to meet an important need: feeding the construction crew on Saturdays. Lunches are often in short supply.
Stock the Pantry
Give a pleasant surprise to new homeowners and donate food products to stock their brand new pantry.
Pray together and give thanks for the blessings of Habitat for Humanity, for housing solutions for those in need of shelter, and that God will direct people to use their gifts and put their faith into action.
Habitat for Humanity Global Village volunteer teams travel to exciting destinations in the United States and around the world. They advocate for better living conditions and raise funds to help those in need. See which work trips are coming up.
Make regular donations or collect special Habitat for Humanity offerings. Provide in-kind goods and services. (For example, a plumber in your congregation might volunteer to do the plumbing work on a Habitat house.) Get youth groups involved by donating toys to Habitat homeowners with children.
Encourage members to join a Lawrence Habitat committee. Individuals with a range of skills and interests are always needed.

Building on Faith
Every other year, the Lawrence Habitat Covenant Churches join together to fund and build a Building on Faith house.
MusicFest is a celebration of the community of Lawrence Habitat Covenant Churches. On a Sunday evening in February, several churches come together to share their sacred music and join each other for a mass choir presentation.
